One of my humans passed away, and my other human — who loves me very much — can no longer care for me. None of this is my fault, and I’ve been trying so hard to be brave… but I really need a new place to call home. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> I’m a sweet 9‑year‑old boy who loves gentle pets, cozy naps, and being near my people. I’m friendly, loving, and just want a calm, caring home where I can feel safe again. I would do best in a dog‑free home, somewhere peaceful where I can relax and settle in. </span> </p> <p> <span> I’m coming with all the things that make me feel comfortable — my litter box, my favorite toys, scratching surfaces, treats, bowls, and some food. I hope that helps make my transition easier. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> I’ve lived in a home where people smoked, so my new family should know that. And my vaccination history isn’t known, so I’ll need a wellness visit with a veterinarian to make sure I’m up to date and healthy. I might also need my teeth checked, just to be sure everything is okay. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> I’ve been through a lot of change, and I’m trying my best to stay hopeful. He is negative for FIV and leukemia, and he’s now on prednisone to help clear up the inflammation in his lungs. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> This sweet boy has been through enough. The woman who found him has been doing everything she can for him, but she cannot keep him, and Handsome urgently needs either a foster home or — even better — his forever family. </span> </p> <p> <span> Handsome is gentle, affectionate, and so grateful for attention.
